Liza received her undergraduate degree in psychology from the University of Massachusetts, Amherst in 2018 and her Master’s of Social Work from Simmons University in 2022. During Liza’s social work education, she worked at a community-based program with adults who are diagnosed with severe mental illnesses. Liza also has outpatient experience working with clients who experience a variety of challenges, including depression, anxiety, obsessive-compulsive disorder, eating disorders, substance misuse, trauma, and difficulties with interpersonal relationships.

Liza uses an eclectic model of therapy that emphasizes elements of positive psychology, motivational interviewing, solution-focused therapy, cognitive behavior theory, and dialectical behavior therapy. Her goal is to help you build a healthier relationship with the challenges you face, as well as foster the confidence and capacity to tackle any problem that comes your way. She values a client-centered treatment approach that strikes a balance between meeting you where you are at and gently pushing you to move toward your fullest potential.
