Dr. Katzman has been a Licensed Clinical Psychologist for the past two decades. She has worked with a wide range of individuals, couples and families. Dr. Katzman specializes in a broad range of mental health issues such as, anxiety, mood disorders, substance abuse, grief/loss and life transitions.

Dr. Katzman’s uses a collaborative and relational therapeutic approach to wellness, utilizing psychodynamic, family systems, and client-centered modalities. In a safe and warm environment, Dr. Katzman engages clients in examining their relationships, developmental history, and personal narratives. With curiosity and compassion, she assists clients with accessing emotional resilience and building coping skills to more effectively manage and regulate difficult emotions.

Education and Experience
Dr. Katzman earned her Bachelor of Arts Degree in Psychology from Brandeis University in Waltham, MA. She has a Masters and Doctoral degree in Clinical Psychology from the California School of Professional Psychology at Alliant University in Los Angeles, California. Dr.Katzman maintains licenses as a Psychologist in both California and Massachusetts.

Dr. Katzman practiced with/in various settings including, community mental health, school campuses, clinics, and an intensive outpatient treatment center. Recently, she worked at Psychological Care & Healing (PCH) Treatment Center in Los Angeles, CA, a residential and day treatment center for adults struggling with mental illness, generally of a chronic nature.

Dr. Katzman also held the position of Training Director for the Family Therapy Program, a CAPIC Internship for pre- and post-doctoral interns. She provided weekly supervision for the pre-doctoral and post-doctoral interns and facilitated didactic seminars, trainings, and case conferences.

Dr. Katzman has facilitated parenting groups, social skills groups for at risk youth, and dual diagnosis groups for adolescents. She has presented workshops and trainings in a variety of settings on a range of topics including, dual diagnosis, adolescent development, parenting, and risk assessment.
